December 2001
Last month we asked how the terrorist attacks have effected you. We had many responses, all were greatly appreciated. We found out that FOA employees are pretty consistant in their feelings about the attacks. In response to the question “Before the September 11 attacks how concerned were you about your safety while working in a government building?” 78% reported that they never really thought about their safety. Since the attacks only 34%of all employees reported that they are more concerned about their safety while at work. When it comes to flying FOA employees have little fear. 89% said they would fly with out any concern. 11% said they would fly only if they absolutely had to. The last question split the FOA staff the most, “How have the attacks effected you the most?” 22% reported they were most effected by the loss of income. 44% said that they were less trustful since the attacks, while the other 34% said that they were a little more fearful. Most of those who chose “more fearful” option, said that it was because they no longer felt as safe as they did prior to the attacks. The votes are in. And the results of FOA employee’s favorite Christmas Carol: “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” with 44% of the votes. “Silent Night” was second with 22%. December Survey We will be mailing out December’s survey in the next couple of weeks, like we did with November. Once again We thank all those who responded last month.
